Despite the fact that many conferences are languishing in the wake of the financial crisis, I was heartened by the Cityscape conference, which attracted a discerning crowd of interested developers whom we have since been able to engage with.
As a regular speaker on sustainability and issues pertaining to the sustainability of high density environments, I was once again welcomed by Cityscape, and in so doing was happy to engage with other speakers and leaders in the built environment industry, thus sharing knowledge and helping to contribute to the green agenda in SE Asia.

This was our first show, and I think Cityscape Asia has successfully managed to bring together the real estate community to one event, although it can be bigger. It has definitely created more opportunities for us as a developer. Cityscape Asia should also try to engage people from other industries such as those in the financial sector such as those who manage wealth and sovereign funds as they can be potential investors as well.
Brij Allen Mahajan, Director of Operations, Middle East, Ridge Solutions, Angola

We have been attending Cityscape Asia since it started. One of our objectives in attending this event is to raise awareness of our company and projects among international investors. This year's event has helped us build our brand with this key target group. Although there were fewer attendees than previous editions of Cityscape Asia, we did meet with several interested investors and will be following up with them.

The organisers have done quite a bit of work here, different conferences alongside the event, bringing of VIPs to visit the show, the developer showcase that gives exhibitors an opportunity to present in an unique platform what they have to offer. It gives exhibitors different avenues to promote themselves to the market.

I found there’s quite a bit of buzz in the exhibition. We’re quite busy with different good enquiries. I like the idea that people come here to look for real estate investment. Lots of people wanted to know who we are and we’ve made lots of useful contacts.

We've had a lot of interest, even people coming over to take photos of our model of The Troika. One of the reasons we are here is to promote brand awareness and we've been interviewed by The Edge newspaper and saw coverage of the show in the Straits Times this morning and Channel News Asia last night. We are also exploring to see if we should join Cityscape in other countries like Dubai or China. It's a good platform to introduce ourselves to the world.

This is our second time here with Cityscape Asia in Singapore and also Dubai. For this year we have decided to collaborate with other parties with an interest in the Iskander Region such as UEM, SJIC, IRDA and its worked really well for us with the support we've had from the Senior Minister for Johor Bahru. We've been very happy with our location and the overall prescence we've achieved. Generally we are quite pleased with the turnout and we even saw the coverage in the Singapore media. Definately the impact is there in terms of enquiries.

It is widely believed that Asia will be the centre for growth in the 21st century. The dynamism and the huge potential for growth of Asian economies have made Asia more attractive amidst the turmoil in the financial markets in the US and Europe.

The show was a success for us and has generated a great deal of awareness for us in a foreign market. We are close to signing a number of joint venture agreements and we are exploring the possibility of working with the Singapore Urban Redevelopment Authority, to learn more about urban planning and development.
Masood Al-Awar, Executive Director - Sales & Marketing, Sorouh Group, Abu Dhabi

We are extremely pleased with the results of the show and will be attending the Cityscape Dubai as well, based on the outstanding showing we had at Cityscape Asia 2007. We see much potential in the South East Asian region, especially in developing countries such as Vietnam, and we feel Cityscape Asia is the ideal platform from which we can network with potential investors and joint-venture partners.

Our attendance at Cityscape Asia 2007 has been a very successful one. We have generated a great deal of interest in a foreign market and because of this, we have started to make significant inroads into the South-East Asian region which was precisely the reason we chose to attend Cityscape Asia. It has put us in touch with developers, architects and consultants and has raised awareness of our brand in the region and this also accords both parties the opportubnity to benefit from each others' expertise in their chosen field.
Masood Al-Awar, Executive Director - Sales & Marketing, Sorouh Group
